Delta Air Lines is now offering U.S. companies with which it has negotiated corporate sales agreements the ability to link directly and securely to delta.com for corporations from their respective intranet Web sites.
Corporate customers using the new feature from their intranet sites will be automatically recognised and associated with their companys applicable Delta corporate sales agreement, no longer requiring the corporate travel manager to submit SkyMiles numbers to Delta for traveller recognition. However, corporate travel managers who prefer to continue using SkyMiles account numbers for traveller recognition now have the ability to administer this information online. Previously, updates were submitted manually for processing by Delta.
Originally launched in January 2001, delta.com for corporations provides Deltas corporate customers the ability to apply negotiated discounts to eligible itineraries and fares, take advantage of all other applicable discounted fares including promotional Web fares and enables the corporate travel manager to track these online purchases for credit towards agreement performance goals. Additionally, corporate travellers can earn applicable SkyMiles bonuses for purchasing via delta.com. These online booking capabilities reduce costs by eliminating transactional fees and providing real- time reporting tools for travel managers to more efficiently track and supervise their travel budgets. Usage reports are updated daily with the transaction information from the previous day. Delta.com for corporations is available to any corporation currently under contract for negotiated rates with Delta.
