Best Western`s popular Trip Planner function on www.bestwestern.com now features booking capabilities for travelers planning routes throughout Canada. Canada joins the U.S. and 13 countries in Europe who were part of the initial launch of the Trip Planner last year.
The online Trip Planner allows travelers to enter their starting and destination points and get a driving route, and a list of BW properties located along the way. It provides detailed maneuver maps and driving directions, mileage, estimated driving time and links to information, photos and booking capability for the hotels located 0.5, 1, 3 or five miles off the planned route.
``We are excited to add Canada to the list of countries available for planning and booking,`` says Judy Sprott, manager of Internet Marketing. ``With 166 Best Westerns across Canada, this is an important addition for our customers.``
The Trip Planner can be used for trips in the United States, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland and Wales.
Since its launch last summer, the trip planner has been one of the more popular elements of www.bestwestern.com. The site has received praise from consumers and journalists alike recently being called ``one of the most convenient lodging sites for long-distance motorists`` by Access Magazine.
