More Rand McNally Online

A number of Web site enhancements have been announced by randmcnally.com, the Internet business unit of Rand McNally. New features include rapid transit maps for major metropolitan rail lines, airport terminal maps for major U.S. airports and online maps that correspond with the Rand McNally 2001 Road Atlas.
Here are the details of the additions and enhancements to randmcnally.com:
Rapid Transit Maps - Featured are 18 maps of metro rail rapid transit lines, including details of stops and transfer points. Maps are available for the following cities: Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis and Washington, D.C. The maps, in PDF files, can be downloaded and printed easily.
Airport Terminal Maps - Travelers may access 53 maps of U.S. airport terminals, including information on gate and ticketing locations, specific airline locations, ground transportation information, as well as amenities such as banks, restaurants, rental car facilities and chapels. The maps, in PDF files, can be downloaded and printed easily.
Road Atlas Map Codes - Each online map and set of driving directions refers to a page number with grid section or detail map in the Rand McNally 2001 Road Atlas. Travelers can transition effortlessly from online maps and directions to their atlases to get a larger picture of their route, city or area.
Save and E-mail a Map - Registered users of randmcnally.com can save up to five maps and five sets of driving directions, allowing trip planning to take place more easily during different Internet sessions. Users can e-mail to anyone a link to maps or driving directions they create. When the recipient clicks on the link in the e-mail, the browser launches and dynamically displays the map or driving directions on randmcnally.com.
Business travellers leaving from Chicago to a meeting in New York City, for example, can use randmcnally.com to access driving directions to O`Hare International Airport, terminal maps of O`Hare and LaGuardia airports, driving directions from LaGuardia International Airport to their meeting and a map of the New York City subway system.
