Interface to Pegasus Solutions Provides SynXis Hotel Customers With Access to the World`s Leading Travel Web Sites.
SynXis Corporation, a provider of reservation management and distribution services for the hospitality industry, today announced a connection to Pegasus Solutions, Inc.`s Electronic Distribution Switch, providing access to thousands of travel Web sites worldwide.
Under the agreement, hotels using SynXis` reservation system will be added to the Pegasus Online Distribution Database of more than 40,000 hotels. As a result, hotels using SynXis technology will be accessible for real-time bookings on Web sites in Pegasus` Online Distribution Network, including TravelWeb.com, TravelNow.com. Dreamticket.com, Continental.com, Hotwire.com and Orbitz.com. With access to this new booking channel and its multitude of consumer travel Web sites, SynXis hotels will be competitively positioned to increase Internet reservations and hotel occupancy.

Hotels will contract directly with SynXis for connectivity to Pegasus` distribution channel, streamlining the process to only one contact for distribution services. Hotels will also be able to manage the rooms and rates available to the Pegasus Online Distribution Network as part of a separate channel, the SynXis` Internet Distribution System (IDS), using SynXis Agent(tm). Hotels can customize the marketing strategy for the Internet independently of other channels such as their own Web site or the GDSs. Online guests will be able to book hotel rooms in real time and receive an immediate confirmation. For SynXis hotel customers, There is a consolidated flat fee for reservations received through the Pegasus Online Distribution Network and hotels will receive a single invoice.
