easyJet starts a massive pan-European Internet sale this weekend for travel in the new millennium. 175,000 seats will be available for travel between 10 January and 25 March 2000. These seats can be bought exclusively at this website from midnight on Friday 19 November until midnight on 23 Tuesday November 1999. No tokens need to be collected, no password is required, no non-existent taxes have been invented (unlike Ryanair) and there are no hidden charges (passenger service charge, credit card charge, charges at airport etc). The cheapest fare will be £25 return all inclusive between London Luton and Liverpool as well as Liverpool to Belfast, making this Europe’s cheapest ever return air fare.
All easyJet routes are included in the sale apart from flights between the UK and Barcelona, Malaga and Palma de Mallorca. Promotional fares will be highlighted as PROMO whilst non-sale fares will be highlighted as REGULAR. Promotional seats may not be available or may be limited at weekends and on peak business flights.
The easyEverything Internet shops in London (Victoria, Tottenham Court Road and Trafalgar Square) will provide free Internet access to passengers wishing to book on the easyJet website.
To celebrate the opening of the new Luton Airport Parkway railway station on 21 November 1999, Thameslink are offering easyJet customers who buy their seats in the Internet Millennium Madness Sale, the opportunity to travel between Luton Airport Parkway station and London King’s Cross for just £5 single or return. This can be booked through the easyJet website, when the reservation has been confirmed. The Green Line coach which departs from outside the London Luton Airport terminal will continue to offer £5 single or return fares to London to easyJet customers.
