Amadeus Cruise Launch

Amadeus Cruise, a browser based cruise-booking tool, is being launched to the U.K. travel industry.
Created in response to the growing awareness of the cruise market amongst consumers, Amadeus Cruise provides travel agents with access to key cruise vendors, allowing the customer to specify preferences such as cabin location and shore excursions. Amadeus Cruise is provided as an add-on service to Amadeus Vista, an advanced front-office, browser-based, booking system. With increasing numbers of consumers considering a cruise as part of their annual holidays, travel agents need to be kept abreast of the most recent developments.
Amadeus Vista provides agents with access to the Amadeus system, providing the most up-to-date information relating to over 54,000 hotels worldwide and 95% of the world`s scheduled airline seats. Amadeus Cruise is a value added service providing the agent with a wealth of features including: cabin availability; dining availability; excursion details; complete trip itinerary; product and policy information; comparative pricing information from other cruise vendors etc. Once the customer has selected their preferred liner and options, Amadeus Cruise automatically creates a customer record, enabling the reservation information to be permanently stored and recorded for future reference. Amadeus Cruise currently provides access to Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Princess Cruises, with more cruise operators schedule to follow during the course of 2001.
