BA are exhibiting at this year`s CHA Marketplace to show support for the Caribbean and to share their success of the past year. They have increased flight frequency to many of the Caribbean Islands, including Antigua and Nassau.
Gordon Almond commented that “although the aftermath of September the 11th is still affecting BA, things seem to be levelling off a little now”. He added that “The Caribbean market felt the least impact of all, again emphasisng the importance of our relationship.”
Although a figure could not be quoted for current online marketing, BA realises that this must be a priority for the coming year. At present, there is an e-fares programme and discount of 5% for clients booking online. Alison commented that “while we recognise the importance of the internet as a marketing tool, we want a system so that online and offline booking can work together as a system and compliment each other.”
