Breaking Travel News is launching a new website next Tuesday, 14 July 2009, with a number of changes that go beyond a radical design overhaul.
The new site was created through in-depth user testing to really get under the skin of what the travel industry wants. The BTN team researched what was most important to executives, how you go about finding the information, and what else you might benefit from knowing in order to keep your finger on the travel industry pulse. The results prompted an introduction of a wealth of emotive search options, allowing the user to get to the heart of what they want with the first click - streamlining the user journey, thereby freeing up their time to focus on the business of doing business.
The host of new features includes video interviews with leading industry players hosted on BTN (as well as continuing to be available on YouTube), extensive picture galleries of top industry events and exhibitions, regular competitions, plus a travel industry calendar that goes beyond merely telling you what’s coming up.
The website also features a new “Focus” section which takes an in-depth look at the issues and the players that are driving the industry.
BTN has also created a feature which lets you view articles, videos, and images related to a certain topic, so allows them to dive deeper into news stories, companies and travel personalities.
Most importantly the site supports a constantly evolving web infrastructure, with the flexibility to handle multiple media platforms as our fast-moving industry constantly develops.
