Cheap flight site Skyscanner has now added car hire to its extensive range of tools and functionality. As well as being able to book the flights on the Skyscanner site, users can now also book the best car rental deals worldwide"It’s a natural move for us” said Frank Skivington, Skyscanner’s Commercial VP. “Skyscanner users are independent people who use the web to research the best deals across their full travel itinerary, not just flights. Cars are an essential element of many trips - leisure or business - and we are delighted that users can now book their car hire with Skyscanner too. Hotels and holidays are next in line to be added to the Skyscanner site and we’ll be launching these in the near future.”
Skyscanner’s car hire functionality is being delivered in association with CarTrawler. Skyscanner users can search over 500 leading and independent car rental suppliers in 135 countries in 15,000 city and airport locations, checking car availability, price and rental brand with a search response time of less than one second. Over the next week, as new functionality is added, they will also be able to search in 22 languages and multiple currencies.
