Riu Blue Waves opens its doors in Croatia

Riu Blue Waves opened its doors on the 30th of May on the island of Krk (Croatia). The hotel, located on a charming beach in the North of the Adriatic sea, features 97 rooms and is ideal for couples and families who want to enjoy a relaxing holiday. Krk is the largest Adriatic island, with an area of approximately 409km2, and it’s well known for the beauty of its landscape and the friendliness of its inhabitants.The resort, located 1km away from the town of Malinska, has two outdoor swimming pools, one of them with children’s section, and an indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi. Guests can enjoy the main restaurant and a themed restaurant featuring Croatian cuisine. Furthermore it has a lobby bar and a pool bar.

The hotel offers, amongst others, family rooms with separate living room with sofa bed and a small balcony. Some of the rooms have two bedrooms and it’s possible to book them with a sea view.

Riu Blue Waves offers half board reservations (breakfast and dinner). Breakfast consists of a varied buffet with wholemeal products and show cooking. For dinner, the hotel features a delicious buffet with main course dishes cooked on the spot and vegetarian options available. Clients can also enjoy a themed buffet twice a week. Moreover the hotel also offers a lunch menu (for an additional charge). Outside the hotel, clients can experience the delicious gastronomy of Krk and its specialities in fish, seafood and good wines.

Adults can enjoy live music or shows several times a week. Children can have fun at the miniclub and enjoy the daytime entertainment programme for children aged 4 to 12 (several times a week, in July and August). Riu Blue Waves also offers a spa with different treatments such as massages and sauna (for an additional price). It is also possible to practice water sports in the vicinity of the hotel (for an additional price).
