BA shifts summer routes from Gatwick to Heathrow

British Airways has announced a change to its summer schedule that sees services from Heathrow to Dakar and Kolkata, and from Gatwick to Dublin, Zurich and Geneva suspended. It is also launching a new service twice weekly service from Heathrow to Toulouse and a daily service from Heathrow to Atlanta, Georgia.

Silla Maizey, British Airways’ customer director, said: “We are opening up these new routes to Heathrow after moving them from Gatwick and are confident that with the combination of T5 and our fantastic full onboard service and low prices, they will be very popular with customers.

The flight moves from Gatwick to Heathrow are part of a larger series of changes to the summer 2009 flying schedule which include resuming flights to Riyadh and Jeddah on 31 May.
