Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: GCOM), a leading provider of satellite-based communications infrastructure solutions and services on a global basis, today announced that the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Globecomm Systems Maryland (GSM), has been awarded a service contract renewal valued at $1.9 million. Pursuant to the contract, GSM will continue to provide engineering expertise for teleport and VSAT support, satellite capacity, communication services, network maintenance, equipment, installation and logistics in support of a U.S. Government Agency. The total scope of services, which is an increase over the previous contract, encompasses various locations globally.
