Yuan Spa - Hyatt on the Bund, Shanghai
Yuan means “source of water” and therefore the spa is a haven of peace, calm and tranquillity on Shanghai’s famous Bund. To ensure that treatments are as relaxing as possible all take place in guests very own spa suite, allowing guests to flow effortlessly from one treatment to another. Treatments combine ancient Chinese elements with high-tech Western practices and natural products and are all undertaken with the upmost care to ensure your long-term wellbeing.
The spa’s signature Yuan Massage (1 hour, £83) incorporates hot towel compresses and a Jade stone baller to restore the body’s natural energy by targeting acupressure points and meridian line for total relaxation.
Riraku Spa at Hyatt Regency Kyoto, Japan
At the Riraku Spa in central Kyoto Eastern philosophies meet Western techniques creating hybrid treatments. The spa specialises in acupuncture, aromatherapy and shiatsu alongside the expertise of specialist practitioners and experienced therapists in order to tailor each and every treatment exactly to the guests needs supplying the attentive and relaxing qualities which Hyatt Regency guests have come to expect. The Kriya Spa at the Grand Hyatt Bali was inspired by the magnificent architecture of an ancient Balinese water palace and is the contemporary luxurious reflection of ancient Balinese traditions of wellness. Kriya which means ritual in Sanskrit is the basis upon which all of the treatments at the spa are based.
The spa offers a range of signature spa rituals as well as a wide-selection of individual treatments. All rituals begin with a sea salt foot soak and chakra stimulation and upon conclusion guests will be served a light, macrobiotic, wholesome fruit and vegetable blend that will continue to nourish them once their treatment is complete.
