JAL is adding codeshare on BA flights from Heathrow to Lisbon, as well as four UK destinations - Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle, starting 14 January 2009Japan Airlines and British Airways - both members of the oneworld
alliance - first started code sharing in February, 2004. This code share
agreement further expands JAL’s Japan- Europe network by providing
smooth connections with minimal transit time from Lisbon and the UK
cities onto daily services operated by the airline between London
(Heathrow) and Japan.
With the new code share, JAL connects Japan to a total of 31 European cities on 43 routes. Cities already served are: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Helsinki, London, Lyons, Madrid, Manchester, Milan, Moscow, Munich, Nice, Oslo, Rome, Paris, Prague, Rome, Stockholm, Stuttgart, Warsaw and Zurich.
