Kempinski Dead Sea opens Middle East’s largest spa

The Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea, Jordan has opened a new Anantara Spa, which it claims is the largest in the Middle East.

At over 10,000 sq meters, the apa boasts 20 treatment rooms, a large studio for yoga, tai chi, meditation and pilates, as well as several outdoor therapy lounges, 28 spa suites, a Moroccan hammam, outdoor and indoor Jacuzzis, steam rooms, Ayurveda, natural Dead Sea water pool, Asian therapies and local salt and mud treatments.The spa also has installed a hydro pool full of bubble seats and wall jets, and a panoramic creative lap pool that features star-sky fiber-optic lighting.

The Anantara Spa is designed to create a realm of calm, tranquility and serenity, intertwined with nature. Ozone-rich air, mineral loaded sea water and muds of the Dead Sea enhance the luxurious treatments of Anantara which bring together century old therapies such as Ayurveda and the most innovative treatments, all performed by highly trained (Far Eastern) therapists. This is by far one of the most comprehensive and spectacular spas in the world.
 
A private Watsu pool is also available for guests to use that allows you to discover ultimate relaxation with a gentle form of body therapy performed in water and combining elements of massage, shiatsu, muscle stretching and dance.

The spa will also contain a tennis club which is accessible to all hotel guests, and special Spa Suites have been created which are located in close proximity to the spa itself. The Simplex Spa Suite is over 55 sqm and designed using stone and wood, featuring an all natural stone bathroom with luxury amenities and complimentary Dead Sea bath salts with incredible views overlooking the Dead Sea. The Deluxe Spa Suites are made of similar material and rests over 85sqm, boasting plasma screen TVs, a spacious living room area and two bathrooms, all designed in contemporary style.

Themed by aspects of astronomy, the Spa has created a number of treatments to ensure that there is something to suit all needs. Under categories such as Venus, Mercury and Mars, guests can choose from an extensive menu of treatments.
