Thomas Cook are offering piece of mind with every booking they take in
this time of economic uncertainty.
Their promise of a full refund within 24 hours of the company going bust
regardless of ATOL membership, is a promise that will attract the
attention of many wary travelers.
Group chief executive Manny Fontenla-Novoa said: “We are taking these
steps in the absence of the Government making any changes to the ATOL
scheme to protect all our customers’ money now.
“The collapse of several holidays companies this year highlighted the
all-important area of financial protection is inadequate, but more
importantly this is perhaps unknown when customers make a purchase.”
Furthermore, he is unhopeful of a u-turn on this matter from the
