Lowcost Travel Group has bought low-cost shuttle and transfer website provider Resorthoppa for undisclosed sum.
Services of both companies will be merged, including the bundling of bed and transfer products, as well as management structures. However Resorthoppa will continue to operate its consumer-facing and trade website.Lowcostbeds.com CEO Paul Evans said: “We are very excited about adding Resorthoppa’s range of great value transfer services to our huge range of directly contracted accommodation product.
“Together, we will be able to offer agents a simpler way to package holidays and reduce their cost of sale.”
Resorthoppa was launched in 2004 and currently operates services from 450 airports in 70 countries.
The company received a £2.1 million funding round from Close Brothers Venture Capital Trust in September 2007.
