The new Australia module will only be available to current qualified Aussie Specialists and will cover six topics: Movie Essentials, Outback, Romantic Australia, Aboriginal Australia, Adventure Australia and Australian Journeys.

UK Aussie Specialists who complete the new Australia module before 24 November 2008, can also win tickets for themselves and a colleague to attend an exclusive early December advanced screening of the movie in London, Manchester or Birmingham.

Tourism Australia General Manager (UK and Europe), Rodney Harrex, said the new module would equip Aussie Specialists with an ever deeper knowledge of the country and help them sell Australia with confidence.

“Australia the movie will showcase the country’s unique and inspiring characters, culture and landscapes,” Rodney said.

“This new training module will educate agents about the film’s key themes and associated products so they can convert consumer interest into bookings.

“If you’re not yet an Aussie Specialist, we encourage you to sign up.  The modules are specifically designed for agents to help them sell Australia successfully and once you are qualified, you receive regular product and information updates.”

This is the second time new Tourism Australia modules have been added to the programme, with the Experience modules launched earlier this year.

In the UK, there are currently 2100 qualified Aussie Specialists and approximately 1400 Aussie Specialists currently completing the training.
