Amadeus adds bmi to content roster

Amadeus has announced that bmi is guaranting travel agents using Amadeus access to the full range of content from bmi and bmi regional, with no surcharges, until 2011. Forty-six airlines have signed the three-year content agreement and a total of seventy-four airlines have signed content agreements in Europe with Amadeus this year. Airlines signing the 1-year and 3-year Full Content Options guarantee that the schedules, fares, last seat availability and associated inventory available to travel agents through Amadeus will be the same as content offered in:

?    any internet website, including the airline’s own website

?    the airline’s own reservation system

?    any other distribution provider



“We are fully committed to offering airlines distribution solutions which ensure travel agents have efficient access to the most important airline content,” says Stephane Durand, Managing Director, Amadeus UK and Ireland.


“GDS solutions are an important part of our distribution mix and are a key driver of our business. Through Amadeus agents we can now offer access to our lowest available fares,” says Peter Spencer, managing director of bmi.
