Starwood unveils W Hotels for London and Manchester

Starwood has increased the UK roll-out of its W Hotel brand with two new offerings - the W London-Leicester Square and the W Manchester - both scheduled to open in 2010.

W London-Leicester Square will be built on the site of the former Swiss Centre building in the heart of Leicester Square, whilst W Manchester will be located in the heart of the city’s vibrant warehouse districtThe new London hotel will feature 194 guest rooms and 10 two-level, luxury branded residences, as well as a signature spa, fitness facility, a world-class destination restaurant and W’s exclusive Living Room experience where guests are invited to mix, mingle and relax in a stylish social atmosphere.

The rooms include nine suites, two WOW Suites and one Extreme WOW Suite, all featuring custom-made furnishings. Guest rooms will offer the latest in cutting-edge technology and advanced in-room entertainment systems.

W Manchester will be located in the heart of the city’s vibrant warehouse district. The sleek, new, Ian Simpson-designed hotel will boast approximately 160 luxuriously appointed guest rooms, 7,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a signature spa, fitness facility, a W Hotels The Store retail store, and a world-class destination restaurant.

W Manchester will also feature a 4,000 square foot ballroom as well as more than 3,000 square feet of fully wired, flexible meeting space.
