GetThere has announced the promotion of Grant Rattray to Director of GetThere’s Asia-Pacific division.In his new role, Mr. Rattray is responsible for GetThere’s business across the region, including marketing, sales, and service to corporations and travel management companies

The appointment of Mr. Rattray, who previously focused on GetThere and corporate strategy for three years with Sabre Pacific, represents a sharper focus on growing GetThere’s corporate travel procurement business in the APAC region. Mr. Rattray brings a wide range of experience in sales, marketing and strategic development, having served in the travel and liquor industries for the past eight years.

“With Grant running GetThere’s Asia-Pacific team, and a number of enhancements and services targeted to serve the needs of corporations in the region, we’re confident that our growth will accelerate in the months and years to come,” said Chris Kroeger, senior vice president of GetThere and Sabre Travel Network North America.

Mr. Rattray’s experience with Web strategy and online solutions positions him for success in this role. Prior to Sabre Pacific, Mr. Rattray spent more than four years with Thrifty Car Rental as the company’s business development manager covering the corporate market and then as online manager, where he was responsible for sales and marketing for the Web, corporate partnerships and loyalty programs.
