Meditz to push EMEA for Delta

Delta Air Lines has appointed Frank Meditz as manager, multi-national sales - Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEA region).Based in Germany, Meditz and his team will be responsible for EMEA based multi-national corporate accounts and provide strategic direction in EMEA for global agency accounts. Bob Hannah, previously responsible for multi-national accounts, is now transitioning to a regional director role responsible for sales activities in Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Hannah will continue to oversee Delta’s SkyTeam activity in EMEA as well as sales related to the Delta-Air France joint venture.

Meditz will report directly to Frank Jahangir, staff vice president sales and affairs - EMEA, Delta Air Lines. Speaking about Meditz’s appointment, Jahangir commented, “Multi-national sales is of huge importance to Delta and will continue to grow in size as the intended merger between Delta and Northwest progresses. Frank has a proven track record in Delta sales and brings a concentrated approach to our global accounts sales efforts here in EMEA.”

 

Meditz has been with Delta since 1988. His most recent assignment was as manager of sales development - International, at Delta’s Atlanta world headquarters, where he has played a key role in the development of Delta’s SkyTeam and alliance partner programme strategy and market development in the EMEA region.  Prior to that role he held various management jobs associated with corporate sales development and multi-national account management in Delta’s London office, where he helped introduce the first managed travel corporate programme for Delta in the EMEA region.
