Utell Hotels & Resorts has achieved an 89% year-on-year increase (2007-2008) in the number of independent and small group hotels participating in its corporate programmes.Actively sought after by TMCs and business travel managers, a large number of independent and small group hotels are being considered based on their ideal locations across the world in major business destinations. In addition, most offer first-class amenities and by their very nature will go the extra mile to ensure an ultra-personalised service to business customers.
Elaine Kennedy, vice president global demand sales at Utell, stated: “Utell has seen a sharp increase in demand for independent and small group hotels requested in global corporate travel programmes. Travel managers see the value in including more independent properties in their corporate programmes and this of course is having a significant impact on revenue streams for Utell’s participating properties.”
