Avis wins Flybe deal

Flybe has awarded Avis a three year contract to be its exclusive car rental partner, building on a successful relationship that already spans five years.

Commenting on the partnership with Avis, Simon Lilley, Flybe’s Director of Marketing says, “We are delighted to have Avis on board for another three years. Our renewed partnership with this prestigious group is yet more proof that Flybe is committed to continuing to invest heavily into its ground product.  Our aim is not only to maintain the loyalty of current passengers but also continue to entice increasing numbers of passengers from legacy and low cost competitors.”

“Together, we will be exploring new ways of marketing to Flybe passengers and building on our already sound customer base: integrating car hire within the flight booking process will be delivered in the coming months, an initiative that will take penetration and ease of booking to new levels.”

The £1 promotion to celebrate this announcement will offer Flybe customers the chance to rent one of ‘500 cars for just £1’, including mandatory insurance, from now until 31st July 2008. This special promotion will be available for customers flying into Flybe locations throughout the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Ireland.

 

‘500 for a £1’Avis car rentals have been ‘hidden’ within the Flybe booking system and customers have the chance to ‘find’ one when they make an enquiry on www.flybe.com.  The promotion will be advertised across national and regional press, web and email channels.
