Marcel at Gramercy set for autumn opening

The Marcel at Gramercy in New York is set to open on 1 October 2008, following an extensive renovation that has taken the hotel from a three-star to a four-star establishment. New additions include redesigned guest rooms and public spaces and the renowned Bar Milano restaurant, delighting guests with discerning palates.With the addition of several new floors, this intimate hotel brings an urban-chic edge to the neighborhood with its 135 well-appointed, modish guestrooms providing views of the bustling streets of Murray Hill and Gramercy Park.

The Marcel at Gramercy accommodations includes two sumptuous suites, 50 Deluxe King rooms, 35 Queen rooms, 30 Double rooms and 18 Double-Double rooms.  All accommodations are designed in a chic, stylish and comfortable manner, with modern accents such as vibrant lime green quilted-leather headboards, crisp white Frette linens and sumptuous down comforters.

The 10th Floor features a quiet lounge area with complimentary fresh coffee and daily newspapers, plus large north-facing windows offering sweeping uptown vistas, where guests are free to read, relax, work or even host meetings and events.
