Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels has opened a new office in New Zealand. The new Auckland office is one of 10 offices located in Asia Pacific. Based in Auckland, Mr Dean Humphries has been appointed to head the office. Mr Humphries was previously National Director - Valuation and Advisory, Jones Lang LaSalle. “The ongoing demand for specialist hotel investment advice in New Zealand created a unique opportunity for our regional team,” said Mr Humphries. “We have sold 13 hotels throughout New Zealand in recent years, predominantly off market, and including the recent sale of a large provincial hotel which achieved a record value on a per room basis for any hotel located outside the main city centres.”
Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels’ regional offices ensure greater access to capital which is emanating from countries such as Australia, Singapore, Thailand and China to New Zealand’s hotel investment market. “This is further supported through the relocation of Mr Mike Batchelor to our Singapore office,” said Mr Humphries. Mr Batchelor has sold many leading hotels in New Zealand over recent years.
