Skywest shows 81% rise in charter services

Skywest Airlines, the Australian and South East Asia regional airline, has announced operating statistics for May 2008, showing an 81.25% increase in scheduled charter services - rising to 174 from 96 in May 2007.Growth at Skywest continues with passenger numbers for the month increasing by 9.20% over the previous year to 36,266. Skywest traffic, measured by Revenue Passenger Kilometres (RPKs) increased by 15.90%, while capacity, measured by Available Seat Kilometres (ASKs) increased by 0.81% over the same period.  The airline’s Load factor, the calculation of which does not include scheduled charter passengers, increased by 7.94% to 60.94% year on year.
