Following the completion of a two-year renovation, the Sheraton Taipei Hotel has re-emerged as the ultimate statement in luxury lodging, combining traditional Chinese elegance and Western space age architecture. The hotel’s pursuit of excellence was rewarded last year when it scooped three prestigious World Travel Awards - Leading Hotel in Taiwan, Leading Business Hotel in Taiwan, and Leading Conference Hotel in Taiwan. The World Travel Awards are awarded to those organisations that set new boundaries in the travel and tourism industry.
The US$77 million renovation has been invested in improving both the quality of the hotel and the quality of service.
Highlights include 688 stylish guest rooms and suites, three executive floors offering executive travellers all the services and facilities they require, including their own executive lounge as well as exclusive butler service provided by professionally-trained butlers. The nine restaurants and the lounge offer Chinese, Western, Japanese, Italy and Thai cuisine, providing a variety of delicious foods in wonderful atmospheres. The Grand Ballroom is an impressive 2,500 square meters with a capacity of 1,800 guests.

Following the renovation, a concentrated effort was made to also totally revamp the service side with no effort spared in training. This included the Executive Butler Service which added professionally trained butlers to the Executive Floors, providing the ultimate in personalized service to guests. Butlers are part of a permanent Butler Department and all butlers, both male and female, were trained by the Guild of Professional English Butlers.
