Golden Tulip unveils extended stay brand

Following the continuous growth in demand in Europe for extended stay hotels, Golden Tulip Hospitality Group has announced the launch of its new extended-stay brand concept: Tulip Residences.
Focusing on today’s growing need of the business travellers to stay longer in the cities they frequent for projects, Golden Tulip is now offering a solution for them to consider. Also for leisure travellers, the new Tulip Residences are an ideal alternative to consider them for their needs. The Tulip Residences will be located in urban areas, such as the major cities, airports and commercial centres.

The interior offerings are based on four-star functionality and cosiness balanced with elements of luxury and elegance. Tastefully furnished studios and one-bedroom suites are equipped with high-definition televisions, free Wi-Fi connection, en suite bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen facility. Tulip Residences will cater for a bar function, will offer a choice of easy prepared meals and will recommend nearby restaurants. Tulip Residences will also offer a convenience centre, offering a range of beverages, such as beer, wine and softdrinks. In addition, also microwave meals will be available.

The typical Tulip Residences will be consisting out of a combination of studio’s and one-bedroom suites. Depending on the building configuration Tulip Residences may also provide two- or three- bedroom suites. The studios will be measuring 30 sqm and the one-bedroom suites will be measuring a minimum of 40 sqm.

The first roll out of Tulip Residences will be focussed on the Benelux countries, Scandinavia and Central Europe (German speaking countries). Cities such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt, Munich, Zuerich, and Geneva are earmarked to all have Tulip Residences. For locations we are interested in any sort of buildings in the locations. The expansion will be financed through an acquisition, sales and lease back program with a number of equity players. We expect to have some 40 Tulip Residences in the next 4 - 5 years.”
