bmi company scheme exceeds targets

The number of members joining bmi’s SME loyalty scheme ‘company rewards’ has already exceeded its target for 2008, seven months ahead of schedule. Latest figures reveal that over 800 SMEs have signed up to the scheme, which benefits companies travelling frequently on the bmi network.

The positive figures are great news for the loyalty scheme that re-launched in February 2008 after an extensive development project.  Its popularity can be attributed to a number of product enhancements, which enables companies to earn with its innovative new points system and redeem them with greater flexibility.  One of the key advantages of the scheme, over similar initiatives operated by other airlines, is its accessibility online at any time.  In addition, points can be earned on all routes on the bmi network, increasing the opportunity to earn more points.

By far the leading rewards scheme of its kind company rewards gives business travellers flying on bmi’s network the opportunity to earn up to 20 points per flight, per passenger.  Each point earned is worth £1 and is redeemable for rewards such as e-vouchers (to pay for future bmi flights) or a cashback bonus. Businesses can also choose to donate their points to bmi’s nominated charity Save the Children.  As an additional reward companies that spend £50,000 or over in any twelve month period will also receive a four per cent cash back bonus.
