Alex Zivoder has been appointed Senior Vice President for Expedia.com Ltd.Zivoder has a wealth of knowledge and experience having run Expedia France for the last two years. Throughout his career Alex has held many management positions in both public and private companies, NGO’s and government agencies, in Europe.

Alex has taken responsibility for Expedia businesses across Europe and reports into Dermot Halpin, President Expedia Inc EMEA.

Prior to joining Expedia, Alex was MD of Tango, the leading Luxembourg mobile operator and Tele2 Luxembourg. Between 1991 and 2000, Zivoder headed up the implementation of statistical co-operation programmes for Eurostat, the European Commission statistics agency, and the statistical institutes of the European Union and Eastern countries.

“Over the last few years we have worked towards creating synergies between all the varying points of sale in EMEA,” said Dermot Halpin. “Alex will now take this forward as we continue to work as a focused unified business across EMEA. Alex assumes this role at a time of great growth for EMEA”.
