Saggar takes Air Mauritius UK role

Air Mauritius has appointed Rick Saggar as Head of Commercial Operations UK and Ireland. Rick’s appointment boosts the commercial team following the recent appointment of Iqbal Bhayat as Regional Manager UK and Ireland.With over 10 year’s senior airline experience, Saggar brings a proven track record to the position. Former Qatar Airways Area Manager UK, European Regional Manager for Air Sahara (India) and Head of UK and Ireland Sales and Marketing at Jet Airways, he has also held senior positions at Delta Airlines, with posts in London and Atlanta.

The national airline flies up to 7 times a week, from London Heathrow to Mauritius with onward connections to Perth, Australia. From the 24th of April, the airline will launch a two-class configuration from the UK on its A340-300E aircraft, featuring a new 34 seat business class cabin with lie-flat seats in a 2-2-2 configuration. Effective 1st of June, all services to London Heathrow will be operated by the A340-300E aircraft offering the audio Video On Demand (AVOD) inflight entertainment.
