Holiday Inn opens in Cairo

IHG has opened the Holiday Inn Cairo Citystars following an official ceremony which took place in January.Located within the 750,000 square metre Citystars mixed-use leisure complex at the heart of Egypt’s capital, the 311-room Holiday Inn will cater for an increasing number of mid-scale travellers in Cairo, who are looking for modern, attractive facilities at excellent value.

The hotel offers a choice of four restaurants and bars, serving a variety of cuisines inspired by different culinary traditions. While ‘Windows’ restaurant is an international dining venue open 24 hours, ‘Stars Corner’ is located in the lobby, and ‘H501’ on the outdoor terrace is an ultra-modern bar serving the most creative cocktails in town.  Lastly, ‘Indira’ is a truly authentic Indian restaurant with a resident specialty Chef.

All rooms are equipped with latest technology, featuring flat LCD TV screens and touch-screen, colour display, direct dial IP telephone systems.

 

For business travellers and corporate guests, Holiday Inn Cairo Citystars has four state-of-the-art banquet and meeting rooms and a fully equipped, 24-hour Business Centre with secretarial support. Recreational facilities include a health club, an outdoor, temperature controlled swimming pool, a gymnasium and sauna.

 

Globally the Holiday Inn brand has 1,370 hotels and 341 in the pipeline. Within the Middle East and Africa region there are currently 24 properties and a further 14 in the development pipeline, representing a growth of almost 60%.
