bmi regional picks new Cologne route

bmi regional will be launching a new route from East Midlands airport to Cologne on Monday 11 February 2008.The airline will operate daily (except Saturday) to the German city, providing passengers from the Midlands with a convenient and quick link, direct to the heart of Germany.  Tickets are available from just £49 each way, including all taxes, fees and charges.

Cologne, well known for its fragrant history, is one of Germany’s oldest cities with a major cultural and media centre and is home to important trade fairs and industry events.  It is also a popular destination for travellers wishing to explore the region around the river Rhine.

Peter Kenworthy, commercial director of bmi regional said:

“We are delighted to be launching year-round services between East Midlands Airport and Cologne/Bonn and we expect the route to be popular with both business and leisure travellers; it will provide the quickest link between the Midlands and Germany”.

Using modern Embraer jet aircraft on the new route, passengers can look forward to attractive business and economy fares and the renowned bmi regional service, which continues to offer complimentary in-flight refreshments to all passengers. All passengers on the new service will be entitled to use the ‘fast-track’ facility through security at East Midlands Airport.
