US Airways fires up Charlotte service

US Airways is beginning a new,
daily service between Daytona Beach International Airport
and its hub at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport.The inaugural flight will depart DAB at 8:30 a.m. and arrive at CLT at 10:15 a.m. US Airways Express carrier Republic Airlines will operate the route with 86-seat Embraer 175 regional jet aircraft.

“US Airways customers can now fly to 13 destinations in the Sunshine State and customers from Daytona Beach are able to conveniently connect through Charlotte to 121 non-stop domestic and international destinations,” said Andrew Nocella, US Airways Senior Vice President, Schedule Planning and Alliances.

Dennis McGee, Director of Aviation for Daytona Beach International Airport, said, “We are pleased to welcome US Airways back to Daytona Beach and look forward to a successful partnership for many years to come.”
