Quadriga has signed a 3 year preferred supplier partnership agreement with Golden Tulip Hospitality Group covering the provision of its entertainment and internet solution, Genesis. Services are already installed in two new Golden Tulip properties, the Tulip Inn Düsseldorf Arena and Golden Tulip Antwerp Centre.
A key requirement in the selection process for Golden Tulip was to partner with a company whose strategic vision matched their own and who could provide them with the right technology, product solutions and support, both now and into the future as their business grows and their requirements develop. An important element of this was the ability to provide services over both a Cat 5/6/7 and a Coax network infrastructure.
According to Riko van Santen, Vice President of Electronic Distribution & ICT for Golden Tulip Hospitality Group, “As the technology landscape changes, these are exciting times for the hospitality industry. In-room systems, as well as the complete cabling dynamics within hotels are changing, and we believe that in Quadriga we have found the ideal partner to ensure we evolve with the growing technology needs of our guests.”
As well as being designed to enhance the guests’ stay and hence optimise customer satisfaction and loyalty, Genesis is also designed to increase room revenues. Customer data shows that it generates as much as three times more revenue than traditional analogue pay TV systems - providing a key revenue opportunity for Golden Tulip.
Guests will benefit from a unique array of guest services including the latest blockbuster movies and popular music selections available on-demand, so guests can watch and listen to what they want, when they want. Ideal for the business guest, internet access is available for laptop users from a secure wired connection in each guest room and WiFi is available in public areas and meeting rooms. Guests without a laptop computer can benefit from access to the Internet via the TV, providing them with speedy access to local information and efficient access to their email messages.
Myron Tataryn, Quadriga’s Sales and Marketing Director, comments “We are delighted to be in partnership with the Golden Tulip Hospitality Group. As a pioneer of the digital revolution in hotels and using the latest IP technology, Quadriga is ideally placed to meet the sophisticated demands of Golden Tulip hotels as their business develops. Genesis, now in over 150,000 rooms across Europe and the Middle East and available over a CAT 5/6 or coax network infrastructure, offers a completely scaleable solution which continues to meet the demands of hotel customers as their business develops, so protecting investment and allowing new and valuable services to be added over time. When combined with Quadriga’s unique Network Operating Centre (NOC), which delivers a real-time proactive monitoring capability, we are confident Genesis will provide Golden Tulip with a ‘best in class’ solution to each individual property.”
