Tourism Australia teams up with SIA

1st Feb 2008

Tourism Australia (TA) and Singapore Airlines have joined forces to run a co-operative campaign in the UK that will run for the month of February. The campaign, that includes TV and online advertising, highlights the range of immersive experiences on offer in Australia and the excellent Singapore Airlines service. The campaign is timed to highlight the airline’s inaugural A380 flight from London to Sydney which launches on 18 March, 2008.

The campaign creatives highlight Australia’s wide open spaces as well as the feeling of space on the new A380 aircraft. Each advertisement directs consumers to a micro site,, where visitors can engage with the experiences and find out more information about the destination and the airline.

The 30 second TV advertisement will run in the Granada, London and South East regions, and the online activity will run on a range of sites including MSN, AOL, TripAdvisor and the Telegraph.

The UK activity is part of a pan-market initiative that TA and Singapore Airlines have partnered on. Advertising campaigns directing consumers to the micro site will also roll out in Germany, France and China during the month of February.

Tim Jones, Marketing Manger, UK, Ireland & Nordic comments:
