The UK’s ITV has unveiled exciting expansion plans for its new Traffic and Travel news service for ITV Local.ITV Local has teamed up with the Highways Agency and Transport for London to put more than 1,200 road traffic cameras online. The traffic cams give motorists a snapshot of the nations’ road hold-ups, updated every few minutes.
As well as being the first broadcaster to be granted access to the cameras on such a scale, to create a completely user-friendly experience, ITV Local has placed a heavy emphasis on the overall look and feel of the website giving a truly useful and distinctive service that is second to none.

In addition to the traffic cams the services focus on four key areas:

- Travel Links providing users with easy access local travel related websites
- And for regions in the London travel-to-work area Live Tube Service Updates provided by Transport for London
The launch gives every ITV region its own dedicated online traffic and travel service.
