Hilton inks deal for UK Doubletree debut

The UK’s first Doubletree by Hilton hotel, to be located in Cambridge, has been signed, representing another major step toward Hilton Hotels Corporation’s target of doubling the current portfolio of hotels in the UK and Ireland from 75 to 150 over the next five years.This project will see the highly regarded Cambridge Garden House Hotel converted to an upscale, full-service Doubletree by Hilton hotel consisting of 122 guest rooms. The hotel is expected to be complete and open to the public as the Doubletree by Hilton Cambridge - Garden House by 2nd April 2008.

Hilton Hotels Corporation and its subsidiaries will manage the hotel under the Doubletree by Hilton brand and Ability Hotels (Cambridge) Ltd., a member of The Ability Group, will own the hotel.
