Starwood unwraps new Nassau resort

Starwood has celebrated the completion of the
all-new Sheraton Cable Beach Resort in Nassau, The Bahamas, with
the property’s official grand opening.The resort, which features an array
of new amenities and dining options, as well as more than 25,000 square
feet of meetings facilities, brings a fresh and inviting guest experience
to the island as Nassau’s newest hotel.

Owned by Baha Mar Resorts Ltd., and managed by Starwood Hotels &
Resorts, the warm, inviting resort sports a contemporary “beach chic”
design throughout, and offers a unique and expansive set of guest offerings
and amenities shared with those of the neighboring Cable Beach Resorts
properties, including 15 restaurants and lounges, tennis courts, the
35,000-square-foot Las Vegas-style Crystal Palace Casino, and a wide range
of water sports, including snorkeling, kayaking and sailing.

  Situated on a 1,000-foot stretch of Nassau’s most spectacular white
sand beach, the Sheraton Cable Beach Resort is set on seven exquisite acres
of stunning waterscape, including three freshwater pools with flowing
waterfalls, a swim-up bar and oversized Jacuzzis nestled among lush
tropical landscaping.

  Decorated in soothing tones, the hotel’s 694 guestrooms and suites
offer a large private balcony or patio with breathtaking views of the
Atlantic Ocean, lush gardens or the spectacular poolside waterscape. Rooms
come equipped with high-speed Internet access, LCD flat-screen televisions
and the signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper(TM) Bed—a multi-layered
creation adorned with voluptuous down pillows, sensuous cotton sheets and a
signature blanket and duvet.

  Serving a variety of island specialties and international cuisine, the
resort offers guests a choice of six restaurants and lounges including
Amici A Trattoria, Bimini Market, and Dolphin Grill. Caribe Cafe will offer
snacks for on-the-go and a delightful assortment of desserts, while
Edgewater Bar and Telegraph Bar provide an ideal venue for an afternoon or
evening cocktail. There are also plenty of well-appointed lounge areas to

  Among the resort’s newest features are the meetings facilities, which
consist of 25,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space that can

pre-function areas for group registration, cocktail receptions, and meeting
