Guest-Tek wins Plaza media deal

Interactive Entertainment have been selected by Elad Properties owners of New York’s landmark Plaza
Hotel, and by operator Fairmont Hotels to provide Guest-Tek’s OneView
Media platform.The platform will provide the Plaza Hotel with free-to-guest
Internet protocol television with high-definition
programming, and HD video-on-demand entertainment services.

  The Plaza Hotel will be opening soon after a $400 million lobby to roof
renovation, including the restoration of its defining landmark public
spaces such as The Palm Court, Oak Bar and Oak Room. The Plaza also
includes private residences and an elegant multi-level retail collection.

  Each of the 282 hotel rooms and suites can receive 60 channels of
high-definition along with a large library of high-definition
video-on-demand movies. Guests can use AMX touch-screen control panels to
control their entertainment system, room lighting and temperature, and to
order theater tickets, room service or restaurant reservations.

  The guest experience at The Plaza will be seamless, a hallmark of
Fairmont Hotels. All guest facing screens on the televisions, phones, and
AMX panels will provide the guest with harmonized, Fairmont branded, easy
to navigate menus.
