Readers of Business Traveller Deutschland magazine have ranked Lufthansa first in a total of eight categories for the year 2007.The airline is valued highly by business travellers because of its high safety standards. In the publication’s latest survey, Lufthansa came out top on domestic German and European routes as well as on flights to North and South America, the Middle East and Africa. Once again, participants in the poll were favourably impressed by the website www.lufthansa.com, which was awarded first place for the third year in succession.

Lufthansa fared particularly well on routes to North and South America. Besides taking the top award in the Safety category, it outperformed all other carriers in the categories Cabin Crew, Ground Service and Cabin Comfort. Overall, Lufthansa also gained first place in that traffic region.

The awards were presented to Lufthansa at the Westin Grand Hotel in Frankfurt and accepted by Karl Ulrich Garnadt, Executive Vice President Services and Human Resources, Lufthansa Passenger Airlines. Garnering a total of eight awards, Lufthansa achieved its best result since the introduction of the survey more than 15 years ago. Each year, the readers of the magazine evaluate numerous companies from different areas of the tourism sector. The best airlines, hotel chains, car hire companies, individual hotels and airports are awarded the prestigious Business Traveller Awards in various categories.
