AirAsia X is to launch direct flights between Kuala Lumpur and Hangzhou, China, with five return flights per week beginning 4th February 2008.The latest service is the airline’s second long-haul destination after Gold Coast, Australia which was launched in November last year.
Famed for its natural beauty and considered by many to be the most beautiful city in China, Hangzhou - the capital of the Zhejiang province is situated just 180 km outside of Shanghai. It is one of South East China’s main economic and transportation hubs and one of China’s most important tourist destinations, which is evident from the 1.5 million foreign visitor arrivals recorded in 2007.
AirAsia X will offer fares starting from RM99.99 or CNY199.99 for one way travel to Hangzhou from Kuala Lumpur. This special promotional fare is available until 20 January 2008 for the travel period between 4 February 2008 and 28 March 2008. The fare quoted excludes airport taxes, surcharges and fees etc.
