Grosvenor House, London’s largest five star hotel, is making two new senior appointments within its sales division. Currently nearing the end of its multi-million pound restoration, Grosvenor House is set to rebrand as the capital’s only JW Marriott hotel and the new appointments will oversee completion of the final stages and drive the brand’s UK growth.
Vicki Richards has been promoted to the role of Director of Sales and Marketing. Formerly Director of Sales, Richards steps into the role vacated by Chip Stuckmeyer who moves to the Far East to oversee the launch of the Ritz Carlton and Marriott in Macau. Richards has extensive experience of sales and marketing having overseen activity at the Park Lane Marriott and Renaissance Chancery Court.
The Director of Sales position has been filled by Steve Nunan. Nunan takes the reins after overseeing sales and marketing for the pre-opening of the London Marriott in Twickenham. As well as extensive sales work within London, Nunan has also been in charge of sales in North West Europe for the brand.
General Manager, Anthony Stewart-Moore, comments, “2008 will be an exciting and critical year for Grosvenor House as we approach the completion of the restoration. These two senior appointments together bring a wealth of experience to the table and I am confident that under their guidance, Grosvenor House will take its place as one of London’s most important and impressive hotels.”
Grosvenor House is currently enjoying a four year restoration programme that sees every aspect of the hotel, both front and back of house, renovated. Already the Library Bar, Park Room and Red Bar have reopened along with half the 494 rooms and suites. The hotel is poised to launch BORD’EAUX, a classic French Brasserie under chef patron, Ollie Couillaud and the remaining rooms and suites will complete in the autumn. Following the restoration the hotel will be rebranded a JW Marriott hotel marking the launch of the luxury Marriott brand into the UK. JW Marriott hotels and resorts can be found throughout the US, Far East and in Europe.
