Barcelo Hotels & Resorts has
announced the opening of its first property in Germany, The Barcelo Cologne
City Center Hotel. The upscale hotel offers 301 well-appointed guestrooms,
and includes two restaurants for casual and gourmet dining, a lobby bar, a
fitness center with spa services, business services, conference space, and
an indoor swimming pool.

  Barcelo was appointed the management of the hotel by the well-known
real estate investment company, Losan. Barcelo Hotels & Resorts continues
to expand its holdings throughout major European cities. Recently the
company announced a deal with the UK’s Paramount Hotels to manage its 20
properties throughout the United Kingdom. Barcelo now operates hotels in 15
countries worldwide and continues to expand its holdings.

  The Barcelo Cologne City Center Hotel is located at 9-13
Habsburgerring, Cologne, Germany, and is in one of the most famous squares
of Cologne: the Rudolfplatz. The prime location is a few steps from the
main commercial streets and restaurants. Using the tram that stops directly
in front of the hotel, guests have direct access to the Cologne Convention
Center or to the city’s historic center. The hotel is also in close
proximity to the famous Dom Cathedral and all of the city’s artistic and
cultural areas.
