Libyan Airlines signs up two new jets

Bombardier Aerospace announced that Libyan Airlines of Libya has signed a firm order for two Bombardier CRJ900 NextGen regional jets. This order represents the conversion of the two options taken with Libyan Airlines’ initial firm order for three CRJ900 aircraft, announced on June 14, 2007.

All three previously ordered aircraft have since been delivered.

Based on the list price of the CRJ900 NextGen aircraft, the transaction announced today is valued at approximately $76 million U.S.

Libyan Airlines CRJ900 and CRJ900 NextGen aircraft have a two-class interior with seven business class and 68 economy class seats.

“With this order, we are continuing our fleet renewal program with state-of-the-art aircraft,” said Eng. Tarek Arebi, Chairman, Libyan Airlines.
