Content Is King On Enhanced Traveleye

Agents will be more empowered to deal with customer enquiries than ever following the addition of new content functionality on Traveleye, the market`s leading integrated selling system from X-TANT.
The content enhancements, which went live today, see a vastly improved TravelGuide, the travel industry`s leading source of electronic information for agents.
X-TANT has redesigned TravelGuide - first launched on its network in 1989 - to include more search facilities for faster information retrieval, together with breaking news headlines, a diary with key industry events, training features on operators and destinations, and a competitions section, with a regular prize draw.
The enhanced TravelGuide also features a unique InfoZone, containing product information from selected providers on all travel sectors, including airports, hotels, tour operators and tourist boards. The zone enables agents to access essential information on products, educationals and training.
At the core of TravelGuide is an A-Z destination guide with links to the websites of over 200 national and state tourist offices. In addition, it has listings for ABTA tour operators and industry providers, including over 250 hotel groups, 120 cruise companies, 85 airlines, 30 car rental companies and 80 airports.
“Never before have agents had such a wealth of content to draw on,” said X-TANT`s strategic marketing director Kerry Wilce. “Traveleye`s enhanced TravelGuide now offers more valuable information than ever before, enabling agents to build up an unparalleled knowledge base from their desktops.
“Smart use of content is the factor that will keep customers coming back to agents rather than switching to the internet. X-TANT is making sure agents are totally equipped.” Since its launch in June 2000, Traveleye has revolutionised the way holidays are sold and currently has over 3000 users nationwide.
X-TANT is part of NTL`s Business division and provides the leisure travel industry`s leading bookings network, accounting for 65% of electronic bookings made by agents. The company is the sector`s fastest-growing applications provider, behind a host of innovations including an Internet Protocol (IP)-based network and Traveleye.
