Spirit launches flight to Puerto Rico

24th Dec 2007

Beginning February 14, Spirit Airlines is launching new daily non-stop service from Orlando to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Located on the northwestern tip of Puerto Rico, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Aguadilla is known for its beaches, crystal clear waters, and excellent surfing.

This new service compliments Spirit’s existing connecting service from Orlando and non-stop service from Fort Lauderdale to Aguadilla.

In celebration of this new service, Spirit is offering introductory fares as low as $8+ each way.

‘As Fort Lauderdale’s largest carrier, Spirit is happy to extend its trademark low fare service to Puerto Rico from Florida with the addition of this new Orlando-Aguadilla non-stop service,’ said Barry Biffle, Spirit’s Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. ‘Spirit maintains operating costs lower than other carriers, even those who call themselves low cost carriers, and we are proud to pass those savings on to every consumer.’

Spirit continues to offer low fares to more places in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and Latin America than any other low-fare, low-cost airline. It also offers more non-stop and connecting flight options between Aguadilla and Florida than any other airline using the youngest fleet of comfortable Airbus aircraft in the Americas.

In addition to Aguadilla, Spirit also offers service to San Juan and Ponce, Puerto Rico.
