Zoom launches Florida, San Diego flights
Zoom Airlines has announced two new routes for 2008. The new routes will operate from London Gatwick to Fort Lauderdale in Floridaand San Diego in Southern California. The first of Zoom’s new routes will be launched in May 2008 from London Gatwick to Fort Lauderdalein Florida. Zoom will be the first scheduled airline in 10 years to offer flights from any European airport to this sunshine resort.
Zoom will offer twice weekly direct flights to Fort Lauderdaleon Thursdays and Sundays with fares starting from GBP399 return including all taxes.
From June 2008, Zoom will offer the only direct air service between Europeand San Diegowhen Zoom’s flights from Londonto the southern Californian city are introduced. San Diegois notable as being the largest UScity without a direct European air service, and there are around 80,000 passengers a year travelling to Londonvia alternative US airports including Atlanta, Dallasand Houston.
A twice weekly non-stop service will operate from London Gatwick to San Diegowith flights departing on Mondays and Fridays. Fares start at GBP449 return including all taxes.

There are also planning to launch an additional route from London Gatwick to the USAduring 2008.
Zoom operates an easyJet-style’ booking service with flexible one-way fares and the flights offer Economy and Premium Economy services with allocated seating, meals and soft drinks included in the fare in all cabins, and an enhanced service available in the Premium Economy cabin.
