East Midlands gets new route

East Midlands Airport (EMA) has today announced its latest new route for 2008.
Isle of Man based operator, Manx2.com is launching their new destination between EMA and the Isle of Man.

With fares starting at £39 one way including taxes, flights commence on 3 March 2008 with a daily weekday service as well as Sunday evenings.

With less than an hours flying time, the Isle of Man offers a holiday which is sufficiently different to feel as if you are abroad, while also retaining the familiarity of being at home.

Stephen Turner, General Aviation Manager, East Midlands Airport said “I am delighted to welcome manx2.com to our portfolio for 2008. The route will be extremely popular with the region’s business traveller due to its daily service but also convenient for the leisure passenger due to the short flying time and the home from home feel the island has to offer.”

James Filleul, Communications Director, Manx2.com said “East Midlands Airport is our sixth destination from the Isle of Man and we are excited about the prospect of maintaining the strong business links the island has with the East Midlands region as well as welcoming tourists to the area.”
